Rochester, home of Kodak, Bausch & Lomb, Xerox and excellent railfanning. CSX, Genesee & Wyoming and various shortlines make for interesting sites and lashups. I went out day in March to beat the winter doldrums. My trusty camera, the Neon, and I went out on a Saturday morning to catch the activity at Fairport.
Leased units are common sight on the CSX. FURX 3009 and HLCX 6503 leads a frieght thorough Fairport.

A single Amtrak unit approaches.
Amtrak 710 is a P40.

Amtrak's GE P42's head eastbound "elephant" style. Unit 180 is leading the tandem.
Amtrak 134 is the trailing unit.
Two CSX units and their train approaches
CSX 527 is a GE AC6000.
Trailing unit is CSX 7571, GE C40-8 with a standard cab.CSX 7732, GE CW40-8 is a common unit found on the mainline in NY state.
A rare sight, SD70MAC 780. The MAC's are mainly used for coal service in Pennsylvania. CSX power shortage make this great unit a middle loco in a general frieght train.
The last unit is BNSF 8718 (ATSF 4018, GP60) in frieght warbonnet scheme.
