I have read numerous accounts of the origin of thanksgiving, and although there are several different stories regarding the matter, almost all of them involve (1) pilgrims, and (2) indians (or native americans, because we're a progressive website). But nowhere, I repeat, NOWHERE, were they any mentions of Italians. To explain:
It all started a few weeks ago, when my mother went on a spree of cooking thanksgiving dinners. For no reason, she cooked like ten thanksgiving dinners (and i mean FULL thanksgiving dinners, turkey, gravy, potatoes, stuffing, squash, etc.) in a row. So finally thanksgiving rolls around, and she says, "i'm sick of cooking turkey....let's have lasagna!" So for thanksgiving dinner we ate lasagna, garlic bread, and pasta. By the way, this isn't meant to sound like a complaint, lasagna rules. But we got a lot of bad press for it. Jon Malaney said we were singlehandedly destroying American values. I say lasagna is delicious, and he's just jealous...
Also, Fantasy Controller played an excellent gig last Saturday. Read about it here.
