Guatama Buddha vs. Sephiroth
a completely pointless analysis by Blake Cooper

So i've been doing a lot of looking into Buddhism, you know, for some light reading, and everything i learn about this Buddha fella, i thought to myself: why does this sound familiar? Well, it finally occured to me: the reason it sounds familiar is because Sephiroth, the villan from Final Fantasy 7. The similarities are eerie.

  vs.

Guatama Buddha                                                                 Sephiroth
a.k.a "shakyamuni, lord, superman"                                                 a.k.a. "captain ass-kicker"

Similarities:

    1) Both come from Eastern culture, Buddha from Gandhara, Cambodia, Siam, Bangal, Laos, and Sephiroth from Japan.
    2) Both are expressed in three different forms. (one) body, (two) spirit, and (three) combination of the two.
            * Buddha is considered an actual person, who lived at approximately 500 BC, as well as a reincarnation of the Buddhist spirit, which has lived for 3 kalpas, or 3 X 10 to-the-fifty-first, and an embodiment of both.
            * Sephiroth was an actual person, born of the wife of a scientist who injected the fetus with Cetra cells, and was also a spirit that had manifested itself in the earth for ages.
    3) Both are BAD-AZZ!
    4) Both are, in obvious philosophy, a recurrent idea that exists all over their respective world, in various scenarios.

...these are just a few of the many coincidences. In fact, the only contrast I can think of is that, while Buddha used his power to teach others about the acts of self-disbelief and the four truths, while Sephiroth just kicked ass....BIG TIME!
